Outside Reading
Students need to have a book that they are reading outside of class that doesn't have a TV or movie based upon it. The primary purpose of outside reading is for the student to enjoy the book, so that is the only requirement. I would like it to be at least relatively on grade level.
Assessment for Outside reading will be in two forms: blog entries for formative assessment and a One-pager (students will complete this in class on the due date; they will write one page on one of 20 prompts) for the Summative Assessment.
The blogs will be written in an assignment on Canvas and will not be written in class. I will not allow students to write the One Pager without the blogs done.
