Journal Prompts
Welcome to the Incriminating Ink. page dedicated solely to journal prompts!
Feel free to respond to any of the following prompts and check back often for new prompts, some of which may even have been generated by your very own classmates!
Prompt #1
Name at least one childhood character that has taught you a lesson (about yourself, life, etc.). Does that lesson still apply today? Why do you remember it still? (click the YouTube link below to see a creative way to think about this one)

Prompt #2
Write-out the lyrics to your favorite song. Determine if they are poetic or narrative/tell a story, is this a determining factor in why you like this song? Why or why not?
Prompt #3
Think about your worst trait or habit... REALLY think about it. Why do you continue to fall into it? What steps could you take to correct it? How have you learned to accommodate it?
*I strongly encourage you all to respond to this prompt. A real writer explores and exposes his/herself far more than any character or subject they'll ever address... pssst! I think all of you are real writers.
Prompt #4
What triggers anger in you? Do you feel your anger is justified in those moments? What about afterward?
